                                        2011 Blue Mule Pulling Rules
 
 

1.  Entry Fee
    a.  Adult Class (13 and over)    $6.00
    b.  Youth Class (4-12)              $4.00


** ALL Dogs must be on leashes.**

    Youth cannot pull altered stock class or non-pace, blue mule

    Youth classes must have parent or guardian walk beside tractor during competition.

    All Drivers must have the ability to operate their tractor, no assistance from others unless potential emergency.


2.  Weight Classes:  All tractors including driver will be weighed before the pull
        a.  Youth Stock Class  PACE 500,600,700,800,900,and 1000lbs
        b.   Adult Stock Single Class PACE 700,800,900,1000,1100,1200 lbs
        c.   Adult Single NON-PACE 850,950,1050, 1150 lbs
        d.   Blue Mule Class & 3 Cylinder 950,1050,1150 lbs
        e.    Adult Twin Stock PACE 850,950,1050,1150lbs
        f.   Adult Twin NON-PACE 850,950,1050,1150lbs
        g.    Adult Twin Altered Stock 950,1050,1150
        h.    Adult Single Altered Stock 950,1050,1150

3.  You cannot run stock altered tractors in stock classes and you cannot run a stock tractor in a stock altered class.
4.  No drinking of alcoholic beverages during a pull and if drinking before pull, alcohol is smelled or found you will not be able to run that day.  Thanks for your consideration for this family event.

 5. Track Operations
   
 
a.  The first puller cannot come back and pull in third or last unless the sled is changed.
    b.  The sled operator is in charge of the sled and track.
    c.  Track Officials may be questioned if there is a problem.
    d.  All tractors, with driver, must be weighed before hooking to the sled.
    e.  If any tractor stops or attempts to stop, within the
20ft mark, the tractor will be allowed to try again, Note the sled will not be pulled back to it's original position.
    f.  No shifting gears when pulling.
    g.  All tractors will stop when directed to by the track official.
    h.  A full pull will be when the front edge of the sled is over the full pull line.
    i.  We will be allowing a
10lb grace in weight.
    j.  Top three in each class will be re-weighed.
    k.  All classes must be lined up and ready, you will have
2 minutes to get hooked to the sled when your name is announced, if not there you lose your pull (no refund).
    l. 
No youths to be driving through pit area without parent or guardian supervision.

6.  Tires
    a.  No studs, chains, pro, atv, utv, cut or sharpened tires
    b.  No dual tires
    c.  Rubber tires only
    d.  Must have working brakes that will stop tractor

General Rules

a.  Dead-man throttle preferred
b.  Hitch can be adjustable, 11" will be hitch height, with a 1 1/2" round hall in it and must be stationary in all direction, and a cleaves cannot be used unless it is stationary.
c.  Tractors may have weight brackets
d.  May have straight pipe and must be pointed up above the hood
e.  Must have wheelie bars 6" behind tires and 4" off the ground or something to stop rollover-you cannot use round weights for wheelies and the crossbars cannot interfere with the chain, cannot be plastic wheels.
f.  If a tractor has a mower deck, the belt must be disconnected
g. 
All youths must wear a helmet


h.  Speed limits in the youth and adult stock classes will be
5mph  three beeps of the horn or horn sounds for more then 10', the driver will be disqualified.
i.  26x12x12 is a maximum tire size
j. 
All Tractors will have working kill switch on tractor to be hooked to the sled.
k.  Tractor must have hood, grill, fenders, and standard wheelbase for the type of rear end used like wheel horse or cub cadet etc.
l. 
No scents in the fuel

Stock Altered Single
   
a.  no rpm limit
    b.  16hp factory block or smaller, no after market blocks
    c.  No slide style carburetor, butterfly type only (no bigger than 1 1/2", no accelerator pump)
    d.  No pressurized fuel system
    e.  Must be equipped with working kill switch that will be hooked to a string attached to the sled.
    f. 
NO Alcohol


    g.  Stock fly wheels must be covered by a shatter shield made of 1/8" steel or more, can have billet fly wheel, but must have some type of cover on it.
    h.  Engines must be equipped with a head strap, (recast must have entire head covered and must be secured on engine block.) (billet strap down must be 2 angle)
    i.  Foot throttles allowed
    j.  Cub cadet tractors must have clutch covered with solid steel cover 1/8" or 1/4" aluminum.
    k.  Cut tires allowed no pro tires (ex: cepek)
    l.  Wheel base may be a maximum of 56" center to center
    m.  You may run any cam, rod, or piston
    n. 
OEM stroke and OEM block

Stock Altered Twin

   
a.  No rpm limit
    b.  14hp to 25hp block,
no after market blocks


     c.  No slide style carburetor. Butterfly type only
     e.  Must be equipped with working kill switch that will be hooked to a string attached to the sled.
     f. 
No Alcohol
     g.  Stock fly wheels must be covered by a shatter shield made of 1/8" steel or more, can run billet fly wheel but must be covered.
     h. 
Engines must be equipped with head strap
  
   i.  Foot throttles allowed
    j.  Cub Cadet tractors must have clutch covered with a solid steel cover 1/8" or 1/4" aluminum
     k.  Cut tires allowed, NO PRO TIRES (ex. cepek)

Blue Mule & 3 Cylinder

   
a.  No rpm limit
    c.  After market blocks and heads allowed
    d. 
    No Alcohol
    e.  No slide style carburetor, butterfly type only
    f.  No pressurized fuel system
    g.  Must be equipped with working kill switch that will be attached to the sled
    h.  Foot throttles or dead man throttles allowed
    i.  You may run any cam, rod, or piston
    j.  Wheel base may not exceed more that 56" center to center
    k. 
BLUE MULE ONLY can have a hitch height up to and no more than 13"
    l.

Youth Stock Rules

  
  a.  4000 rpm limit with working governor with working OEM parts
   b.  Motors can be up to 18hp
   c.  Cannot pull in a gear higher than 2nd
   d.  Speed limit of 5mph
   e.  Must use stock fly wheel and no fins cut off can run billet fly wheel
   f.  Must use all stock engine components (heads, cam, carb)
   g.  Must be OEM stock parts
   h.  MUST WEAR A HELMET
   i.

Adult Stock Single Rules

  
a.  4000 rpm limit with working governor with working OEM parts
   b.  Motors can be up to 16hp single cylinder
   c.  No twin cylinders allowed
   d.  Speed limit of 5mph
   e.  Must use stock fly wheel and no fins cut off can use billet fly wheel
   f.  Must use all stock engines components (heads, cams, and carbs)
   g.  Must be OEM stock parts
   h.

Adult Stock Twin Rules

  
a.  4000 rpm limit with working governor with working OEM parts
   b.  14hp to 20 hp motors
   c.  no single cylinders
   d.  Speed limit of 5 mph
   e.  Must use stock flywheel and no fins cut off can use billet flywheel
   f.  Must use all stock engine components (heads, cams, carbs)
   g.  Must be OEM stock parts
   h.

Adult Non Pace Single

   a.  4000 rpm limit and must have working governor with working OEM parts
   b.  Tractors may have up to 16hp motor single barrel carburetor, garden tractor type only
   c.  Aftermarket parts HAVE to be OEM SPECS
   d.  NO PRO TIRES
   e.  NO ALCOHOL
   f.

Adult Non Pace Twin

 
   a.  4000 rpm limit and must have working governor with working OEM parts
   b.  Tractors may have up to 20 hp motor single barrel carburetor, garden tractor type only
   c.  Aftermarket parts HAVE to be OEM SPECS
   d.  NO PRO TIRES
   e.  NO ALCOHOL
   f.
